This year marks McDonald’s 19th anniversary of McHappy Day. To celebrate, McDonald’s invited Vancouver bloggers, other members of the media, and community leaders to participate in McHappy Day’s “Adopt a Restaurant” program and show what a difference one day can make in the lives of children in need.
Last year, McDonald’s raised $3.4 million in local communities across Canada to support children and their families through children’s charities across the country such as the Ronald McDonald Houses.
On Wednesday, May 2nd from 5:00pm-7:00pm, the leaders and media members will gather downtown at the Main and Terminal McDonald’s restaurant to help celebrate. Their goal is to work with the community to help create a unique McHappy Day story. During the celebration they will take part in the action, like working the drive thru or the front counter!
On McHappy Day, $1 from every Big Mac® sandwich, Happy Meal® and hot McCafé beverage sold at McDonald’s will go to local children’s charities across the country, such as Ronald McDonald House. To help spread the word about McHappy Day, McDonald’s is offering a $50 gift card giveaway to one of our lucky Eating in Vancouver readers!
