Every summer, there are a couple fun events I look forward to as a food blogger. The annual summer patio tweetup at Joe Fortes is always high up on the list. With a seemingly endless selection of great drinks and even better food, the open patio at Joe Fortes is one of the best places to be once the weather starts getting warm. With clear blue skies and plenty of lush greenery, it is no wonder this top floor venue is packed throughout the week.
Along with fan favourites like the bite sized chicken and waffles and fish N chip platters, the highlight of the event every year are the two tiered seafood trays on ice. Generously filled with lobster, shrimp, clams and other seafood goodies, these aquatic masterpieces empty quickly but are always refilled by friendly staff. For casual diners hoping to get a little taste of everything, this is definitely a good party order for the uninitiated.
A table that saw lots of activity throughout the event was the Do It Yourself Signature Caesar station. Loaded with everything but the kitchen sink, media were invited to upload photos of their creations to Instagram for a chance to win a gift basket. Along with large glasses of white sangria and even more food, this was a phenomenal event in a lovely space that really showcases Joe Fortes in the best of light.
