French-inspired Trafiq Café & Bakery is a neighbourhood favourite located on Marine Drive in West Vancouver. We really enjoyed our visit to Trafiq’s newer sister cafe on Main Street a while ago, so we wanted to visit the original location to see how it would compare.
Also a licensed establishment, this Trafiq has similar bistro chairs and white marble tabletops in the larger space, while bright yellow walls create a cheerful atmosphere.
Medium American ($2.50) – Two shots of bold, rich espresso.
Since we adored the Chunky Monkey ($3.25) — a chocolate banana bread pudding — at the Main Street location, we thought we’d see how it would compare in West Vancouver. Luckily for us, his decadent indulgence was equally as delicious.
Ham & Cheese Croissant ($6.95) – Served warm on a delectably buttery and flaky croissant with melted Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and black forest ham.
Cheddar, Bacon & Chicken Panini ($7.95) – Grilled on honey whole wheat bread with plump chicken breast, crispy bacon, crisp green leaf lettuce, juicy tomato, sharp cheddar cheese, dijon mustard, and chipotle mayo, this tasty sandwich was certainly a satisfying lunch.
Overall, Trafiq Café & Bakery is an ideal coffeehouse to sip a cup o’ joe with friends, indulge in decadent pastries, or enjoy a tasty lunch with a glass of vino!
