Located on Hulikoa Drive, you’ll find Kona Mountain Coffee just off of Queen Kaahumanu Highway. If you’re driving towards the Kona International Airport, look for the blue building and “Kohanaiki” sign on the right.
Watch coffee beans being roasted and hand dipped chocolates in the process of being made. Complimentary coffee samples are provided as well as samples of their delectable confections. After you’ve decided which coffee is your favorite, a full espresso bar is located inside to create your custom brew.
We often visited KMC twice per day during our stay on the Big Island – once in the morning for a cup o’ joe and then again in the afternoon for a refreshing iced coffee after a day spent at the beautiful Kua Bay. Service was friendly and very helpful every time we stopped by.
Our favorite coffee that we tasted at Kona Mountain Coffee (and subsequently purchased lots to take home for friends and family) is the award winning, MacNilla 100% Kona Coffee: 7 oz bag ($16.95) and 1 lb bag ($32.95). Flavored with an aromatic combination of Tahitian and Hawaiian Vanilla notes mixed with fire toasted Big Island Macadamia Nuts flavor, and their farm direct 100% Kona Coffee, MacNilla is simply “Da Best”!
Another delicious item we took home for friends and family is their Signature Chocolate Macadamia Nuts: Hamakua grown whole (large!) macadamia nuts surrounded by Kona Mountain Signature Chocolate (a combination of milk and dark chocolate) and dusted with white powdered sugar. They come in 2 sizes: 5 oz ($8.50) and 16 oz ($23.95). When you visit KMC, you must try these tasty confections!
