Lesley Stowe Fine Foods Launches Raincoast Cookies

EatingInVancouver was invited to attend a media event at Lesley Stowe’s beautiful home last Wednesday evening. Along with other members of the Vancouver food media scene, we experienced an advanced tasting of her newest addition to the Lesley Stowe Fine Foods family. After years of success with her signature Raincoast Crisps, “Canada’s Cracker Queen” has expanded her empire to include all-natural Raincoast Cookies.

Refreshing beverages such as pomegranate martinis were served at the intimate event while we engaged in friendly competition with other attendees by guessing which ingredients were in each cookie before the grand reveal.

Lesley, a Vancouverite and Parisian-trained chef, also made us smoothie pairings to accompany each cookie – demonstrating ideal unions for complete breakfasts. Pictured below is the vitamin-rich recipe, she called Lively Litchi Smoothie, that she paired with Dried Cranberry & Toasted Hazelnut Raincoast Cookies.

Not only are these natural, moist & chewy cookies packed full of nutritious ingredients like flax seeds and chia, they also possess three delightful flavour combinations: Dark Chocolate, Dark Cherry & Pecan — Apricot, Ginger & Slivered Almond — Dried Cranberry & Toasted Hazelnut.
