Corduroy Pie Company is now open for business in the Cambie Village neighbourhood of Vancouver. The team is happy to bring a fresh new pizza place to a ‘hood that so desperately needs a new form of “pie.”
The restaurant’s fresh pie that’s made to order is already making headlines across the city.
The moment you walk in the restaurant you can’t help but feel as though you’re inside someone’s home, watching them cook for you. The dough is kneaded, stretched and topped right before your eyes allowing for a personal connection to be made at first site.
This is the second edition of “Corduroy” in Vancouver as owner and operator Rebecca Matthews has expanded from the original spot located in Kits Point. Corduroy on Cornwall Avenue has been running with Chef Figg for over seven years and is very well received. Matthews and Figg have gained reputation for creative comfort food with exceptional service on the side. This time, the two have teamed up with Graham Marceau to open Corduroy Pie Company on West 16th.
This new pizzeria offers made-to-order, traditional as well as other creative “pie” flavour combinations. Built as an dine in spot off the beaten path, Corduroy Pie Co. also offers a call ahead service for those on the go.
The three partners (and long time colleagues) have spent months transforming the former Rebellious Tomato location into a 25 seat cozy getaway equipped with a liquor license, which they acquired during renovations. Changes were made to create comfortable dining ambiance, as well as adding three large screen televisions and an open style kitchen.
Having 10 options, the “pie” menu is sure to have something for everyone.
