Olivia Wu founded Cannele & Honeybun, a small company based in Richmond, BC, to offer her lovely cannelés and unique pastry items that tickle the senses.
Cannele & Honeybun was realized by Olivia’s inspiring trip to San Francisco in the fall of 2009. During her visit to the Northern California city, Olivia fell in love with cannelés — a small French pastry with soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust; a specialty of the Bordeaux region of France.
With her passion for creating irresistible cannelés and small batch artisanal cookies, Olivia pays attention to quaility and freshness of ingredients and never uses preservatives. She brings hand-made baked treats with heart and soul to the community; a rare treat that just cannot be found on any supermarket shelf.
Salted Caramel Sable ($4.00/bag) - Rich homemade caramel bits embedded in sable cookies (French buttery shortbread). A sprinkle of kosher salt on top of the cookies ties together the sweet caramel and rich butter flavours. Heavenly.
