The East Village is a neighbourhood that is quickly becoming a hot spot in the city for amazing brunch cuisine. And judging by the inevitable morning line-ups every weekend, Vancouverites are passionate about all things breakfast related. A local culinary company, Off The Eaten Track, is launching a new brunch themed culinary tour to take place every Saturday morning starting April 26th in the bustling East Vancouver neighbourhood.
“Who doesn’t love to go for a nice brunch with friends?” said Bonnie Todd, co-owner of Off The Eaten Track. “We wanted to put together a tour that would showcase this popular food trend in the city and we thought the East Village would be the perfect neighbourhood for this. Minus the line-ups of course!” said Todd.
The Vancouver’s Best Brunch Tour visits five local businesses in the neighbourhood and includes a bite to eat or a beverage at each stop. Some of the dishes include a delicious egg frittata with homemade salsa from one of the areas newest and funkiest cafes, juicy Bolivian pastries from a family run restaurant, a sausage tasting from the local butcher shop, a tea tasting from Vancouver’s smallest tea shop, and a truly authentic brunch item; a mind-blowing Caesar!
The 2.5 hour tour costs $65 per person and includes all food and beverages, private transportation to and from downtown, tour guide, and taxes. The tour runs every Saturday and meets at Waterfront Station at 10 am. Tickets to the tour must be booked online and at least 24 hours in advance.
