Pig BBQ Joint Review Westshore Village Victoria, BC

Pig BBQ Joint – “proudly pulling pork for people since 2007″ – is a Southern-style eatery on Vancouver Island offering hearty comfort food like crispy fried mac & cheese and pork ribs with smothered in sweet ‘n’ tangy barbeque sauce.  We first visited Pig’s downtown Victoria restaurant here and quite enjoyed its pulled pork sandwiches, so we thought we’d check out the second location to see how it would compare.

Pig BBQ Joint’s location in Langford is situated in Westshore Village on Phipps Road. We ordered Half Rack of Ribs ($15) with coleslaw and cornbread, Three Piece Fried Chicken ($13) with cornbread and fries, and a cheese-steak sandwich that was a special of the day. Ribs were saucy and tender, chicken was extra crispy with juicy meat, and the sandwich was loaded with sliced beef. If you’re a carnivore, then you’ll love Pig BBQ Joint. FYI: They don’t accept phone orders, so you’re required to place your order at the counter and wait for your takeout meal.
