Hyland’s Fish and Chips has been a Sidney landmark for almost thirty years. Located on Resthaven Drive, this neighborhood restaurant serves homestyle food at good prices. Apart from fish ‘n chips and a variety of seafood options such as mussels, crab cakes and calamari, other menu choices include burgers, hot dogs wings and poutine.
One of the great things about Hyland’s is they serve Coke ($2) in glass bottles alongside frosty glasses!
A nautical design theme runs throughout the restaurant, including glass plates shaped like fish. After perusing the menu, the four of us ordered the Family Style 7-Piece Fish Dinner with Cod ($41.00) which came with slaw, tartar sauce, and chips.
Hyland’s offers generous portions of both housemade coleslaw and tartar sauce with their family style dinners.
These crispy deep-fried cod pieces satisfied our fish ‘n chips cravings.
Chips here are plentiful to say the least so you will never leave hungry at Hyland’s Fish and Chips! Tip: “All you can eat” cod is offered every Wednesday and Sunday. For specials and further information, here are all the details:
