Heads-up Vancouver Foodies! This Saturday you’ll be able visit the world without getting on a plane as 30 Latin kitchens will take to the streets for the fourth annual Carnaval del Sol. A free, eco-friendly event in the heart of downtown Vancouver, this Latin American celebration of art and culture will be taking place on Granville Street from Smithe to Hastings.
Cuisine is at the core of this upcoming festival and Vancouver’s top Latin restaurants will be showcasing traditional and modern dishes. Festival-goers will be able to cruise along various countries while tasting Latin gastronomy.
Carnaval del Sol will introduce Vancouverites to sizzling delicious dishes from Mexico, Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, Jamaica, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Cuba and Honduras. Burritos, tacos, feijoada, anticuchos, quinoa cakes, empanadas, pan con lechon, jerk chicken, pupusas, tamales and arroz con leche all of these and many more great dishes will be available throughout the day.
