Caffé Artigiano Serves Up Its First Toronto Location

Western Canada’s favourite home-brewed coffeehouse is now expanding to the country’s eastern provinces.

Caffè Artigiano is serving up a new shop right in the pulsing heart of downtown Toronto. The new 1,400-square-foot location on Yonge St. is right centred in the city’s financial district in Toronto’s first CIBC building.

The café hosts more than 16 employees and seats up to 44 caffeinated patrons simultaneously. And with a beautiful new world interior, the coffeehouse features architectural details such as herringbone flooring, sleek marble countertops, black granite table tops, bench seating, and a large community table to sip and share a fresh brew with fellow latte lovers.


The new Caffè Artigiano will still serve up the same artfully blended coffees and artisanal breakfast and lunch options. The menu features a variety of indulgent cookies, cakes and muffins, alongside savoury favourites such as house-made soups, gourmet salads and Italian paninis. The baristas are also bragworthy at this new Toronto café. The coffeehouse hosts a skilled group of baristas, including Patrick Chilvers, who has competed in regional competitions and is currently in the running for the title of “Toronto’s Best Barista” by NOW Magazine.

By sourcing distinctive quality from coffee growing countries and roasting them to a renowned profile, Caffè Artigiano sets a new standard in coffee preparation. Artigiano Roasting Co in Burnaby, BC roasts the quality coffee beans being served at each cafe by the cup and available for guests to take home in 12-ounce bags. With an expertise in refining and perfecting specialty coffees, the philosophy stems from the belief that each coffee has unique characteristics that are revealed through roasting. Every batch is methodically profiled, roasted and tested to ensure the natural qualities are showcased.

The new Caffè Artigiano is located at 101-67 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto and offers up warm greetings, fresh coffee and baked goods, and a relaxed atmosphere for patrons seven days a week. Hours are Monday to Friday, 5:30am – 8:00pm and 7:00am – 5:00pm on weekends.
