When we’re craving a juicy White Spot burger, we usually dine at their Kitsilano location on West Broadway since it’s within walking distance from our home.
So how did we end up at this location? Well, from what I remember, a few of us were heading to Ikea in Richmond and decided to take an alternate route. Unluckily for us, we ended up in bumper-to-bumper traffic because of construction. Crawling on SE Marine Drive for what seemed like eternity, we were absolutely famished. A White Spot appeared like a gift from God (The Universe/Allah/Jesus, whatever you want to call it), so we made a detour and pulled into the Spot.
Upon entering, this location felt like a really massive restaurant, but it was a little deceiving because there were large mirrors at the back giving the illusion of a huge space. Regardless of the mirrors, the restaurant was a regular sized White Spot with ample booths and table seating. We were promptly seated at a booth (I always prefer sitting in a comfy booth, don’t you?)
The great thing about a White Spot is that you can rely on its consistency in food quality and service standards. We love trying new restaurants (that’s why we created Eating In Vancouver), but sometimes we just want to know what we’re gonna get (especially when we’re subjected to a string of real duds).
Prices were typical, of course, and service was speedy and friendly. Our burgers were juicy, eggs were poached perfectly, and our french fries and zucchini sticks were crispy. What more could you ask for?! What’s your favourite White Spot location in the city? Let us know in the comments below.
