A Taste Of Vietnam Review

A Taste of Vietnam is located on West Broadway, near Oak Street in Vancouver. You’ll notice the blue awning with white and yellow lettering of this Fairview Vietnamese restaurant that was founded by Hannah in 2005. The restaurant has been serving delicious pho and other Vietnamese specialties with Hannah’s signature friendly service for almost seven years.

Deep Fried Chicken Wings ($8.45) – Reminiscent of the deep-fried chicken wings at Vietnamese/Cambodian restaurant Phnom Penh, these were extra crispy and very flavourful.

Special Vermicelli Combo ($8.95) – Rice vermicelli noodle bowl topped with a choice of grilled pork, chicken, or beef, and served with a spring roll and fresh vegetable garnish. This was a generous portion that actually included two spring rolls and two skewers of beef. A solid meal that we would certainly order again.

Bonus: Receive “free fruit dessert” with all orders at A Taste of Vietnam. Also, the restaurant offers inexpensive lunch combos that cost $6.95 per meal, while Vietnamese banh mi subs are also well priced at $3.55 each.

Apart from actually eating Vietnamese food in Vietnam like we did on a recent trip earlier this year, my all-time favourite Vietnamese restaurant is still Saigon Night in Victoria. However, overall, A Taste of Vietnam will satisfy most Vietnamese food cravings in Vancouver and at reasonable prices.
