Peanut’s Bubble Tea Review

Located inside the Richmond Public Market, Peanut’s Bubble Tea sells two main offerings: Multiple varieties of bubble tea drinks, and Taiwanese cookie-like pastries called che lung bing – created using crepes, the treats are stuffed with a choice of ingredients like red bean paste, coconut, custard, etc.

We’ve been Peanut’s Bubble Tea customers for over ten years now.  Like Tsim Chai, Phenom Penh, and Cheesecake Etc., Peanut’s was always a stop we’d make when we’d visit Gary’s siblings who were attending UBC. Since we moved to Kits [Gary and I are college-sweethearts, both born and raised in beautiful Victoria, BC!] from Vancouver Island [after a year living and eating lots in Seoul, then getting married in Dubai, and honeymooning in the Seychelles, etc. - click the links if you're interested in reading more], we tend to frequent Dragon Ball Tea House more often than Peanut’s only because it’s a lot closer to our home.

Peanut’s is one of our favourite bubble tea spots (along with Dragon Ball Tea House) because they use real fruit in their fruit flavoured bubble teas, real frozen yogurt and real ice cream. Family owned and operated, the staff always remember our regular drinks. I usually order a honey lemon green tea and they add plenty of slices of whole lemon. Their tapioca pearls are consistently soft and fresh, grass jelly is smooth and lovely, and all their beverages are reasonably priced. FYI: They provide stamp cards for loyal customers. Like the majority of establishments in Richmond, this place is CASH ONLY.
