Mintleaf Cafe Review – Vietnamese Restaurant In Kitsilano

Mintleaf Cafe is a modern Vietnamese restaurant located on Stephens and West 4th Ave. in Kitsilano. I noticed the restaurant one day while getting my hair done at Texura Salon across the street (fab salon, ask for Beth!). Small but nicely appointed and very clean, we stopped by this family-run business for lunch one day to see how it would compare to our usual Vietnamese haunts.

The menu is quite small but does provide standard Vietnamese fare that the majority of patrons would crave. We noticed on their menu that their pho costs $7.50 – a bit pricier than other spots on Kingsway. But the convenience factor makes up for the price since the location is just a short walk from our home. Could it be? We don’t have to drive out to East Vancouver to enjoy tasty Vietnamese food anymore? We ordered some Vietnamese iced-coffee ($2.50), salad rolls ($4.00), and a couple of banh mi subs/Vietnamese sandwiches ($3.75). Flavourful, authentic and well priced Vietnamese food considering the steep rent for businesses in the area. We will be back for more, and soon.
