Great Wall Mongolian Barbecue Restaurant Review

Disappointed with his first ramen experience, the next day my brother decided to try another restaurant and cuisine just down the street from Kintaro, on Denman & Alberni — Great Wall Mongolia Barbecue Restaurant.

This is an AYCE (all-you-can-eat) restaurant where you fill your bowl (lunchtime prices: $7.95 per bowl, or AYCE for $9.95) with your choice of an assortment of fresh vegetables, meat (pork, chicken, beef, or lamb) and a variety of sauces. It’s an excellent way to uniquely customize your dish to your exact specifications. Once you have loaded up your bowl, then the chef cooks it all up right in front of you.
Overflowing bowl waiting patiently to be cooked on the flat top circular grill.
And there goes all the ingredients, sizzling away on the grill! Similar to other Mongolian restaurants, small bowl of rice, soup, and an egg roll are also included with the meal. The restaurant’s interior is spartan, but service is quick and provided with a smile, and food is reasonably priced and fresh ‘n tasty. The verdict? We would definitely go back! Have you been to Great Wall Mongolian? What do you think about the restaurant?
