Red Baron Restaurant Review

Although self-titled a restaurant, South Surrey/White Rock’s Red Baron is a straight-up fast food joint. It’s essentially an ice cream shop, although it does serve fish ‘n’ chips, popcorn and beverages as well. Located just down the road from Sunflower Cafe on Beecher Street, this Crescent Beach ice cream parlor offers a plethora of ice cream flavors to indulge in and it’s an excellent respite from a hot sunny day.

Red Baron’s a family run place, big on volume and is always very busy, especially during the summer months. Scoops are on the small side ($3.00 for one scoop), but you can’t beat its perfect location right on the beach, and with so many varieties to choose from, you’re bound to find your favorite ice cream flavor. (We enjoyed their mocha and strawberry cheesecake, pictured below). Red Baron’s a good bet if you’re parched from all your outdoor activities, or if you’re craving a sweet treat on Crescent Beach. FYI: They will not accept credit card payment on orders less than five dollars. Also, American credit cards are not accepted at all.
