Plaisir Sucré is a little French cafe and bakery located on the pleasant Arbutus & West 10th Avenue area of Kitsilano. French owner and baker extraordinaire, Fabrice Roché, is always there to greet his customers with welcoming exuberance.
The cafe offers daily fresh-baked French pastries – like delectable croissants, pain au chocolat, and brioche. Other French desserts, soups, and sandwiches are also on the menu. Plaisir Sucré’s ambiance is very relaxing and is the perfect spot to sip your café au lait, read a great novel or watch French TV. It is a very family friendly shop and even has a little play area for small children.

Pictured above: A tender almond croissant, regular coffee, ham & lots of brie sandwich, and a rich latte – all fresh, all delicious. Fabrice also bakes a wonderful selection a fresh bread daily. Try a loaf of his hearty walnut bread, it’s nutty and satisfying even just eaten plain with butter.
Mousquetaire – Turkey, ham, cheese, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, and avocado on a fresh-baked baguette. A can of Coke shows the size comparison of this huge sandwich – incroyable!
Plaisir Sucré has a large number of regular clientele, so be sure to arrive before staple bread and pastries items are sold out.
